Trump’s Pick For Secretary Of Education Has Ties To Clinton Foundation

On Wednesday Betsy DeVos was chosen by President-elect Donald Trump to be the next Secretary of Education. Reports show that the DeVos family has made donations to the Clinton Foundation in the past.

West Michigan Politics reported in May that the DeVos family has donated anywhere from $60,000 to $130,000 to the Clinton Foundation:

According to a WMP analysis of Clinton Foundation records, the DeVos family donated between $60,000-$130,000.

The Doug and Maria DeVos Family Foundation donated between $50,000-$100,000.

The Dick and Betsy DeVos Family Foundation donated between $10,000-$25,000

Dave DeVos donated between $1,000-$5,000.

Bloomberg also reported in July of 2015 that Amway paid former President Bill Clinton “$700,000 for a February 2013 speech in Japan.” The company that sells products in the health, beauty, and home-care markets was founded by the family of Betsy DeVos’ husband.
