President Trump lashed back at North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un Tuesday evening over his threat about a “nuclear button.”

In a New Year’s Day speech, Kim Jong-Un had said, “The U.S. should know that the button for nuclear weapons is on my table,” and had threatened that the entire U.S. mainland “is within our nuclear strike range.”

Tuesday evening, Trump responded with the following in a bold Twitter statement:

“North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un just stated that the “Nuclear Button is on his desk at all times.” Will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!”

The North Korean leader’s threat to America was taken in stride with very little backlash, but Twitter users have erupted in a storm following President Trump’s response.
