President Donald Trump released his Weekly Address to The Nation on Friday, highlighting key issues on which he has been working and on which he plans to work in the near future.
Trump touched on two pieces of legislation he signed this week, claiming they will remove burdens in our economy.
One of those bills included House Joint Resolution 38, which eliminates an anti-coal regulation put forward by “unelected bureaucrats.”
“Coal miners have been treated horribly and we are going to turn that around,” Trump said. He added that the resolution will ultimately lower the price of energy for Americans.
Trump also spoke about his priority to help women in the economy. “To truly succeed as a country we must realize the full potential of women in our economy,” he said.
He recapped his meeting with the Women’s Business Leaders Roundtable, and said he wants female entrepreneurs to have equal potential in business and capital.
Finally, Trump reaffirmed the positive relationship between the U.S. and Israel, saying together the two countries will fight terrorism at home and abroad.
