On the first day of the San Fermin Festival, two Americans were among four runners injured. The festival is better known as the ‘running of the bulls’ in Pamplona, Spain.
According to video captured seen below, it was a local man who was injured the worst. In the video he is seen gored and dragged along by a bull right before the bulls and runners charge into the bull ring.
One of the Americans, identified as E.H.O., 35, from Virginia Beach, VA, had “less serious” wounds. He had a 10-cm long gash to his chest muscles that entered the thoracic cavity.
Officials described it as a one-and-a-half-inch gash on the right of his scrotum. An eyewitness who saw that particular injury claimed the bull hooked the man with a horn between his legs.
The half-mile run, which started in the 14th century, lasts about 4 minutes in total.
