After tornadoes tore through Texas on Saturday, Phillip Ocheltree, 25, of Wills Point, was driving home with his two children when his truck hydroplaned on the highway and ended up upside down in rising floodwaters.
Ocheltree and his two children, infant son Marshal and little girl Addy, were trapped in the submerged vehicle, unable to open the doors from the inside.
Other people passing by saw the capsized truck and came to the rescue, frantically working to get the doors open, not knowing how many people were inside.
One witness, Tom Mitchell, began filming the rescue as he said he was too weak to help physically.
The rescuers first got the baby, who was not breathing, out and had to do CPR to save him.
Others managed to free Addy, also unresponsive, and the children’s father.
In an updated report, the baby is now in excellent condition and doing fine. Addy remains in the hospital in serious but stable condition and is beginning to breathe more on her own.

Below is the raw, unedited, longer version of the rescue, with part of it containing audio only. A witness can be heard praying in the background for the baby to breathe.
