AUSTRALIA – An Uber driver in Brisbane has been charged with raping a teenage girl.

Police say a 37-year-old man raped his 16-year-old passenger.  The accusation follows another incident last week in which three rape charges were brought against a 47-year-old Uber driver in Brisbane, the charges stemming from an alleged attack on a woman in her 20s.

An Uber spokesman said, “The behavior described by Queensland Police is absolutely deplorable, and our thoughts are with the woman and her family.” He said the driver no longer had access to the service’s app and that they were co-operating with police.

Uber has been riddled with crime related stories all around the world, and lawsuits against the company continue to mount.
