The powerful stories of individual selflessness and bravery continue to come out on Monday after the gruesome terrorist attacks on the London Bridge and at the Borough Market Saturday.

The latest is that of soccer fan Roy Larner, who was in the area when three men ran out of  white van and began stabbing first police officers, and then civilians. Larner ran directly at the men, attempting to stall them so others could get away. A post on recounted the scene:

“Roy Larner charged at the terrorists on London Bridge in order to try and stop them and help others escape, he ended up getting himself stabbed multiple times showing great courage and preparing he’s (sic) body for the ultimate self sacrifice to help others, he should be acknowledged and rewarded for he’s (sic) actions!”

Friends of Roy are raising money for him from a JustGiving page and are hopeful that there will be more talk of great deeds such as Roy’s than anxiety over the evil actions of ISIS.
