University student penalized on assignment over use of “mankind”

Cailin Jeffers, an English major at Northern Arizona University, talked to Fox News’ Tucker Carlson on Friday after she had a point deducted from her score because she used the word “mankind” in a paper.

English professor Dr. Anne Scott told Jeffers that she was being penalized for not using a gender-neutral term.

On “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” Jeffers said she had a discussion with Scott and was told that “gendered language,” such as the word mankind, is “sexist, oppressive, and anti-woman.”

“I have no idea why feminists are obsessing over tiny, little microaggressions, such as issues like how the word ‘mankind’ is used, when there are women living under Sharia law who are actually oppressed by an actual patriarchy,” observed Jeffers.
