Tributes are pouring in as the nation learns the news that pro-golfer Tiger Woods has been injured in a serious car accident in the Los Angeles area.

Woods, 45, was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, which reportedly “hit something,” then crossed over the center median to the other lane for over 400 feet, and ended up in a roll-over crash over the embankment on the other side into some shrubs.

The accident reportedly happened just after 7:12 a.m. local time in Rolling Hills Estates.

According to the LA County Sheriff Department, Woods was extricated from the wreck by Los Angeles County firefighters and paramedics, then transported to a local hospital by ambulance for his injuries.

Woods’ agent Mark Steinberg has reported that the golfer has suffered “multiple leg injuries” and is currently in surgery.

KTTV reporter Bill Melugin shared an update, tweeting, “Law enforcement source tells me that as of right now, there is nothing “salacious” about the Tiger Woods crash. No charges pending. He went off an embankment and rolled and it is currently just an investigation for a bad traffic accident as of *right now*.”

Former President Donald Trump released the following statement: “Get well soon, Tiger. You are a true champion!”

Actress Jada Pinkett Smith posted photos on Twitter earlier Tuesday morning, announcing she had golfed with Woods on Monday.

Smith tweeted after the accident, “Prayers up for the GOAT @TigerWoods who was in an accident this morning. Was just with him yesterday. Don’t take not even a MOMENT for granted! I know you’re good because your Tiger within is a beast!!!”

Actor David Spade also shared a photo on Monday, saying he had a golf lesson with Woods.

NBA legend Dwayne Wade also shared a video on social media, of he and Woods golfing together on Monday.

Tributes are pouring in on social media:

Pro golfer Ian Poulter tweeted, “Thoughts are with @TigerWoods and others involved, wishing a speedy recovery and I hope the injuries are not badFolded hands.”

One Twitter user posted a photo of the moment with President Donald Trump honored Woods with a Presidential Medal of Freedom award in May 2019.

  1. Who cares, dude. Like really, I’m not going to lose sleep over this. Many people are going through 10x rougher shit than this rich douchebag who lives in a ivory tower like the rest of the 1%. And now we’re supposed to graciously bend over to appease people like him? “Oh, so sorry, I’d there’s anything I can do, let me know. Prayers sent your way!” Listen, I don’t care who he sleeps with or what restaurant he ate at. Nobody cares! Same goes for the people at Hollyweird. Did anyone care when my dad died?

  2. Nobody cares. My father was a better man than this rich pos and not a single fuc% was given by other people. Why should I? It doesn’t matter which restricted he eats at or whoever he sleeps with. I don’t care. I won’t lose sleep over it. Same goes for people at Hollyweird.
