A twin engine Boeing 767 Atlas Air cargo jet violently crashed into Trinity Bay near Anahuac, Texas, shortly before 12.45pm on Saturday afternoon.

There were three people on board Atlas Air Flight 3591 that was carrying Amazon Prime Air cargo, the Federal Aviation Administration said citing initial reports.

The article goes on to state the following:

There are no survivors in the deadly crash, according to the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office.

The flight had departed from Miami and was bound for George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas when it nosedived and plunged into the bay, which is just about five feet deep and is mostly mud marsh.

Sheriff Brian C. Hawthorne described the crash as ‘total devastation’.

‘We haven’t been able to find any survivors or any remains. I feel like it’s probably a crash that nobody would have survived,’ he said at a press conference Saturday afternoon.
