Texas Governor Greg Abbott confirmed during a press conference Friday afternoon that 10 people were killed in the shooting at Santa Fe High School, and another 10 were injured, with at least two in critical condition.

The gunman has been identified as Dimitrios Pagourtzis, 17. Reportedly, nine students and one adult were killed.

Abbot said two weapons were used in the attack, a shotgun and a .38 revolver. He said social media posts by the shooter indicated he intended to commit suicide after the shooting, but backed out and gave himself up instead. Abbot said Pagourtzis obtained the weapons from his father.

He said there were two officers were on the Santa Fe High School campus at the time of the shooting, who were able to confront the shooter early on in the process. Officials will look through surveillance video moving forward.

Police reportedly found pressure cookers and pipe bombs planted around the school. Police are searching two residences, and are aware of the possibility of explosive devices in the residences.
