A 16-year-old girl who hanged herself on Saturday in Maple Lake, Utah was assisted by a male acquaintance who purchased the rope used and then recorded the suicide on her cell phone.

Tyerell Joe Przybycien, 18, confessed to investigators that he helped the girl commit suicide and recorded the incident because he was “suicidal and wanted to watch the victim die to see if it was something he could go through with himself,” the affidavit read.

He is being charged with murder.

Police discovered the body and also found her cell phone and a handwritten note nearby identifying her and instructions to watch the video if there were any questions as to what had occurred and why.
