A man hired as a contractor to do repairs at a Los Angeles-area apartment building says a resident went on a racist rant against him and his co-worker before throwing a cup of hot coffee in his face.
Miguel Sanchez videotaped the incident in a now-viral video, in which the woman can be seen blocking the workers’ car from entering the garage while walking two small dogs.
The article goes on to state the following:
Sanchez told Los Angeles’ KTLA News that the woman used racial slurs against the two men and did not believe that they were there to work on the building.
“She was calling us wetbacks, and that we were probably there to steal stuff,” Sanchez said. “After all those racial comments on us, I got my phone out and started recording.”
In the video, the woman is heard yelling that that she told the men to “get out of my face,” before throwing the cup of coffee at Sanchez, who was recording.
Sanchez said he called the Los Angeles Police Department, who responded to the incident and told him that he would need to request a private person arrest, since officials did not witness the incident.
