VIDEO: Colbert rips apart Trump with mock postcards

A Friday night segment on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” featured mock postcards written by President Trump to his family, staff members, and other government officials in the United States during his nine-day trip to the Middle East and Western Europe.

Colbert included notes from Trump to White House Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Vice President Mike Pence, and White House Chief Strategist Stephen Bannon, among others.

“Sarah Huckabee Sanders, After visiting Colosseum, have great idea for press briefing: Reporters fight lions to the DEATH! – Donny T” one of the postcards reads.

“I keep getting ‘Hamas’ and ‘Hummus’ confused,” he wrote to National Security Adviser Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster.

Another card read, “Robert Mueller, Made a wish in Trevi Fountain. Is Russia investigation still happening? Donald.”

Colbert’s ratings were anemic prior to Trump taking office, but since the inauguration in January, Colbert has become the top-rated show on late night TV due to his constant attacks on the president.
