Video footage that seemed to have been hidden away for 11 years was suddenly brought forward on Wednesday after NBC fired “Today” host Matt Lauer for sexual misconduct. The events began with an employee who came forward with serious allegations and included a bombshell report from The New York Times that states Lauer had sex with a woman in his office until she passed out.

TMZ published the video Wednesday, containing footage from October 2006, when the “Today” show had cut for a commercial. The cameras were still rolling, and while most of the nation never saw the incident, at least one local NBC affiliate stayed on the studio’s feed instead of going to the commercial.

Lauer’s co-host, Meredith Vieira, leaned over in front of him to pick up scripts from the table. Lauer looks her over, then clearly says, “Pretty sweater. Keep bending over like that. It’s a nice view.”

TMZ notes that Vieira’s face and expression are never seen on camera, and they first thought it was Katie Couric, but then realized Vieira took over for Couric in September 2006.

Another video that came to light this week was an interview with Lauer’s former co-host, Katie Couric, who appeared on the Andy Cohen show in 2012.

Couric was asked, “You co-hosted the ‘Today’ show with Matt Lauer for 15 years. What is Matt’s most annoying habit?”

“Hmm…, he pinches me on the ass a lot,” Couric responded.
