VIDEO: Former President Obama Departs Capitol By Helicopter

On Friday afternoon, former President Obama and his family departed the inauguration via the “Marine One” helicopter and head to Palm Springs for vacation.

In the video, Obama stands beside President Donald Trump and former first lady Michelle as they prepare to board. The Trumps escort the Obamas and exchange a few words with them before they finally climb the stairs to their military helicopter parked outside of the Capitol.

President Trump and Vice President Pence watch alongside their wives from the Capitol stairs as they wave goodbye to the Obamas and watch them take-off.

Less than an hour before their departure, Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th President of the United States.

After the Obamas return home from California, they will live in their new home in Washington D.C.
