Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) defended remarks this week in which he called Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) “dumb,” saying that his comments were “accurate.”

“Well, I didn’t mean disrespect,” he said Friday on Fox News, “but I do think what I said was accurate.”

The article goes on to state the following:

“Let me say it again: I think that what Speaker Pelosi is doing here is not only dumb, but it’s dangerous,” he said, referring to the House Democrats’ impeachment inquiry led by Pelosi.

“Speaker Nancy Pelosi is trying to impeach him,” Kennedy said at a campaign rally with President Trump on Wednesday.  “I don’t mean any disrespect, but it must suck to be that dumb,” he added.

  1. It is an accurate statement, the president from any party must not be restricted in negotiating with a foreign country. Pelosi is setting the stage that any president will now face impeachment if there is someone acting like a whistle-blower doesn’t like. Washington will be completely crippled, even less will be accomplish, if that is possible. The only reason anything gets done now is that Trump goes on despite the obstacles that he faces daily, there isn’t another Republican, or Democrat, that would be able to do that.
