President Joe Biden’s popularity is tanking among Hispanic voters, according to a new poll from the New York Times/Siena College.
Only 32% strongly or somewhat approved of Biden’s presidency, while over 60% strongly or somewhat disapproved in the Monday poll, which surveyed 849 registered voters between July 5-7 and had a margin of error of 4.1%. In a rematch between Biden and former President Donald Trump, 42% said they would support Biden for reelection, compared to the 39% who said they would vote for Trump.
The article goes on to state the following:
Biden’s support from Latinos and Hispanics has fallen significantly from the 60% who voted for him in 2020. Fifty-four percent of Hispanic respondents who disapproved of Biden said Biden’s poor performance as president is the reason they would choose to back a different candidate, which was the highest percentage of any demographic.
The news comes as some Latino’s trounced First Lady Jill Biden for her involvement with a “Latinx” event. Jill proudly spoke at the Latinx IncluXion Luncheon in San Antonio, Texas, on Monday, even though the the term “Latinx” is very unpopular in the Latino community. One person compared the term “Latinx” to breakfast tacos – it’s an idea attributed to Latinos but has no basis or popularity in those communities.
This Presidency just gets worse & worse.
Clearly the elites don’t understand, or even care to, regular Americans.
Although I’m not entirely sure which is worse, that the name of the event @FLOTUS was at used the term “Latinx” or the tacos for breakfast.

The comment was sparked after Jill Biden spoke about breakfast tacos during the speech, saying Latino communities are diverse, just like tacos.
Conservative comedian Tim Young tweeted a video of the comment, writing, “Liberal privilege is Jill Biden telling a group of hispanic people that they’re ‘as diverse as breakfast tacos’ and not being canceled for it.”

The comment did not go over well. Aside from people slamming her on Twitter, the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) weighed in, saying in a statement: “We are not tacos.”
“Using breakfast tacos to try to demonstrate the uniqueness of Latinos in San Antonio demonstrates a lack of cultural knowledge and sensitivity to the diversity of Latinos in the region,” reads the statement.
“Our heritage as Latinos is shaped by a variety of diasporas, cultures and food traditions, and should not be reduced to a stereotype.”
NAHJ encourages @FLOTUS & her communications team to take time to better understand the complexities of our people & communities.

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) slammed both the term “Latinx” and Biden’s taco comment in one mocking tweet.
“If Jill Biden is going to compare Hispanic Americans to breakfast tacos then she could at least use more inclusive language: It’s ‘TacX,’ Jill,” he wrote.

It’s “TacX,” Jill.

Christina Pushaw, Gov. Ron DeSantis’ press secretary, tweeted: “Imagine the regime media meltdown if a conservative called Hispanics ‘breakfast tacos’ like Dr. Jill Biden did at the Latinx Luncheon today. Democringe.”

Harrison Fields, director of communications for Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.), tweeted:
“As a Latino, NOT a ‘Latinx,’ our community isn’t solely defined by ‘Bogotas’ or ‘breakfast tacos.’
“Faith, freedom, resilience, family, and love of country define us. @FLOTUS, please go back to Delaware and stop the pandering.”

Another Twitter user pointed out that breakfast tacos are not traditionally Hispanic.
“Jill Biden, We don’t eat tacos for breakfast. How dare you sum up our Latino ethnicities as if we’re vacation souvenirs!!!Your cheap pandering is a condescension and an insult.
“No wonder Latinos are fleeing the Democrat party!”

In another tweet from Young, he poked fun at Jill and Joe Biden.
“The only thing that would’ve made Jill Biden saying hispanics were, ‘as diverse as breakfast tacos’ is if she followed up with, ‘End of quote. Repeat the line,’” he tweeted.
His comment was in reference to the president’s teleprompter gaffe, in which he appeared to read instructions as if they were part of the speech he was being asked to read.

More comments about Jill’s gaffe, including an amusing “poem,” follow.
The Biden administration, which is rapidly losing Hispanic support, sent Jill Biden to Texas to win back their support. In her speech Dr. Jill Biden said Hispanics were unique, like many different “breakfast tacos.” Really. https://t.co/wcw2z36gQN

So… Jill Biden just said Latinos are as unique as breakfast tacos and the “Bogedas” of the Bronx.
Whatever Joe has, it appears contagious

I’m white as snow
You’re as unique

I could get the exact same insensitive ethnic slurs if Trump were still president, only without the $7 gas. https://t.co/kMyPYuIelw
