Ohio Gov. John Kasich said Tuesday he was disheartened by what he saw from both Democratic and Republican senators during the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation hearing last week.

“We’re in a zero-sum game,” Kasich said, appearing on MSNBC with Stephanie Ruhle. “Every tactic is okay. You can do whatever it takes just so I can win and I can defeat you. That is a toxic environment”

The article goes on to state the following:

Later in the interview, Kasich again referenced a “zero-sum game” as he bemoaned the behavior of Trump supporters at a “Make America Great Again” rally in Tennessee on Monday.

“A lot of them are voting because they’re angry, okay?” Kasich said. “We’re back again to the zero-sum game. You look at a Trump rally. I mean, come on, folks. You don’t teach your kids to be that way.“

  1. John Kasich may generally be a good man – but he still just does NOT get it! Voters are sick and tired of career, elitist politicians like him. That’s one of the reasons Trump was elected. He’s out of touch with mainstream America and he doesn’t see it and just can’t accept it. We’re tired of the minority telling the majority what to do, think, and say. We’re tired of political correctness. Zero Sum was a product of both the Democrats and Republicans (including Kasich). Every speech he’s made has to include his references to what a great politician and negotiator he is/was (i.e., “federal balanced budget”, blah, blah, blah). It’s obvious that he still has delusions of wanting to run for president again, mostly because he believes that it’s his turn and he’s a just such a great guy. Get over yourself, John – it’s time to just put yourself out to pasture – we voters did not want you the last time, and do NOT want you in the future!! You and Hilary just can’t seem to shut up and fade away into irrelevance.
