Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said Sunday that the McCain family took notice of kind words shared by Ivanka Trump about the late Sen. John McCain.

“Earlier in the week, I met with Ivanka about a trip we’re planning in Africa. Ivanka said some very nice things about Sen. McCain after his passing. It was not unnoticed by the family,” Graham said on CNN. “I’m hoping that Cindy, who has done terrific work for human trafficking of women and all things related to that issue, can work with Ivanka and others because that’s her life’s work.”

The article goes on to state the following:

Graham also denied having a hand in Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner being invited to McCain’s funeral.

“No. Nobody was at the funeral who did not get invited by the family,” Graham said, pushing back on earlier reports he was responsible for the invitation Saturday given McCain himself specifically requested that President Trump not be in attendance.

  1. Shame on them for attending McCains funeral. Disgusting after the McCains had un-invited our President.

  2. The media is such a disease. Dwelling on invites and uninvited guests. We forget to focus on why all have gathered and media makes a circus out of it. You have to question, If McCain was such a religious person, he obviously threw the bible to the side and did not forgive, was the resentment that bad when what Trump said about him did in fact hold merit? Was what Trump said so damning that he should be excluded from a funeral procession for normally the sitting President would speak or was it McCain’s final bidding to disrupt and follow the democrats hatred and division within the country. McCain’s past is available to read and there were powers to be (Admiral Daddy) that swept the ugly parts aside to paint a pretty picture and pave his way in the future. McCain’s funeral processions held more honor then what most deceased GI’s and past presidents have been afforded and why? McCain was never a President, His military time is littered with questionable things that could not be hidden forever. I don’t dislike or hate McCain. I question his loyalty to the GOP, His time while Trump has been President and his unwillingness to forgive things said. He went to his grave with a bitter heart and people like me asking was it worth it? This isn’t just about McCain. Sadly the Media and politics are heavily involved and the behavior of those appointed by us to look after our interests. We have all witnessed both parties acting like selfish children. We have seen how far some will go when things don’t go their way. Are these the people we want representing our Nation? They obviously don’t work well together and go to extremes to try and make things go there way at any cost. Well McCain, you go to your grave a bitter man and some who have lost any respect they had for you based on your decision to exclude President Trump from your funeral. You have judged and so have I now. RIP if you are able to.
