The Senate Judiciary Committee conducted its hearing for allegations of sexual assault against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh on Thursday. The committee heard testimony from Judge Kavanaugh and Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, who alleges that she was assaulted by the nominee in high school.

After hearing testimony from Ford and part of Judge Kavanaugh’s testimony, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) asked to have the floor. He blasted the committee with fiery words, saying what Democrats on the committe have done to the judge is an “unethical sham.”

“This is not a job interview,” Graham said at one point. “This is hell. This is going to destroy the ability of good people to come forward because of this crap.”

He also told Kavanaugh that he would be voting for him, as he had for two Obama appointees: Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan.

“When you see Sotomayor and Kagan, tell them that Lindsey said hello cause I voted for them,” Graham declared. “I would never do to them what you’ve done to this guy. This is the most unethical sham since I’ve been in politics.”

After Graham gave his remarks, press secretary Sarah Sanders tweeted, “[Lindsey Graham] has more decency and courage than every Democrat member of the committee combined. God bless him.” (See tweet below.)
