VIDEO: Pelosi dodges question about her net worth


House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., who has called employee bonuses of $1,000 “crumbs,” dodged a question Tuesday about her net worth.

According to The Washington Examiner, Pelosi was criticizing the GOP tax reform law and the federal budget a Phoenix, Ariz. town hall event when the question was asked.

“God never intended one group of people to live in superfluous inordinate wealth while others live in abject deadening poverty,” Pelosi said.

“How much are you worth, Nancy?” a woman in the crowd asked, adding: “Are you in abject poverty?”

“We’re not talking about that,” Pelosi replied.

From the Examiner: Pelosi is considered one of the wealthiest members of Congress and her net worth is estimated to be approximately $100 million.
