BOSSIER CITY, La. (AP) — Police in Louisiana were able to reel in a man captured on video swimming through a fish tank at a sporting goods store.

Kevin Wise, 26, told KSLA-TV that he plunged into the indoor aquarium at a Bass Pro Shop in Bossier City last week to follow through on a promise he made to followers on the social media platform TikTok.

The article goes on to state the following:

“I said that if I got 2,000 likes I would jump in the tank,” Wise said. “I got way more than that and didn’t want to be a liar.”

After Wise took his swim in the fish tank, he jumped out, clothes dripping wet, and ran out of the store. Police later charged him with criminal damage to property and turned him loose with a citation to appear in court.

Bass Pro Shops said they had to empty out the 13,000 gallon tank and clean it, and filed a complaint with the police, in an effort to recoup the money it cost them.

  1. Idiot! What people like him don’t know or care about is that tanks like these are temperature controlled the ph of the water is maintained for the health of the fish. He could have caused them to die had he had insect repellent, cologne or his clothes had residue on them. He deserves any amount Bass Pro had to put out to get the tank healthy again.

  2. What kids will do for “likes” is absurd. One of the most ignorant generations in our society is front and center today.
