NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” took a cheap shot at Ivanka Trump in a skit on Saturday’s show.
Hollywood superstar, Scarlett Johansson played the first daughter in a prerecorded comedy clip and commercial for a new fake perfume.
The skit opens with dramatic shots of Johansson playing Trump walking through a crowded ballroom.
A voiceover says, “[E]very man knows her name. Every woman knows her face. When she walks into a room, all eyes are on her. She’s Ivanka. And a woman like her deserves a fragrance all her own. A scent made just for her. Because she’s beautiful. She’s powerful. She’s complicit.”
“She’s loyal, devoted, but probably should’ve bounced after the whole ‘Access Hollywood’ bus thing,” the voiceover continues with reference to the infamous Billy Bush tape.
“Complicit — the fragrance for the woman who could stop all of this,” the narrator says, ” but won’t.”
Ivanka Trump has served as an adviser to President Trump through his campaign and now in the White House. In a departure from the past, SNL has now targeted the Trump children. Previously, first children were off the table.
