A historic estate located in one of the nation’s wealthiest zip codes, and home to some of the most palatial estates in Georgia, is listed on the market for $48 million–outpacing the price homes in the area as much as 200 times.

The Buckhead mansion, also known as ‘Chestnut Hall,’ boasts a unique blend of English Tudor and French country architecture and sits on over 18 acres of land.

It covers a staggering 17,000 square feet of living space, which includes seven bedrooms and 11 bathrooms.

This sprawling, top-dollar-home comes with all of its furnishings, including a collection of rare artwork, antiques, and statues from the gardens of Versailles and Civil War-era chandeliers.

Atlanta Business Chronicle reports:

Designer details include Sherle Wagner hand-painted sinks and basin sets, an onyx bathtub in the master bath with 18k gold plated tub filler by Herbeau; and architectural hardware in the his and hers custom closets by Edgar Berebi, featuring 24k gold and Swarovski crystals.

The mansion also features a 19th-century French Neoclassical style bronze and crystal eight-light chandelier (circa 1880), a Baccarat crystal and bronze ceiling light from a Paris hotel (circa 1920), and an impressive early 20th century Louis XV style gilt bronze, rock crystal and amethyst chandelier in the master suite sitting room.

Allan Baitcher, an appraiser with the Appraisers Association of America, said in a statement: “Chestnut Hall is an unsurpassed estate with a sophisticated, high quality, desirable collection of art and antiquities. It is the finest private collection under one roof in the United States.”

He added, “Every piece in the residence was carefully selected and many are museum-quality pieces. These furnishings encompass a wide array of the ‘best of the best’ 19th and 20th-century decorative arts assembled from around the world over the last three decades.”

Perhaps its hefty price tag has something to do with it, but the estate has remained on the market since 2013, reports CNBC.
