President Trump on Saturday mocked Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., for claiming she didn’t leak the details of a letter written by Christine Blasey Ford accusing Brett Kavanaugh, the newly sworn in Supreme Court justice, of sexual assault.

“Remember the leaking, right? The leaking Dianne Feinstein,” Trump said during a rally in Topeka, Kan.

The article goes on to state the following:

Feinstein was criticized by Senate Republicans for her handling of Ford’s allegation against Kavanaugh, which Ford detailed in a letter to Feinstein at the end of July.

Some believed Feinstein’s office leaked the details of the alleged assault, which Ford said occurred in the summer of 1982, to maximize the damage on Kavanaugh’s nomination.

Following Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court by the Senate on Saturday, Feinstein blasted out the following statements on Twitter:

Confirming Brett Kavanaugh in the face of credible allegations of sexual assault that were not thoroughly investigated, and his belligerent, partisan performance in last Thursday’s hearing undermines the legitimacy of the Supreme Court.

The confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh shifts the court far to the right, putting women’s reproductive rights, civil rights, environmental protections, worker’s rights, the ability to implement gun safety rules and the ability to hold presidents accountable at risk for a generation.
