AUSTIN — When Willie Nelson, a country music living legend, took the stage on Saturday night at the outdoor concert he was headlining, hundreds of people in the audience started filing out of the venue to get home.

Those people weren’t there to hear Willie sing. They came to hear Beto speak, and he had just finished delivering his remarks.

The article goes on to state the following:

Nelson, along with Grammy-nominated soul singer Leon Bridges, a Fort Worth native, and other local Austin artists, performed at the packed free concert on Saturday at Auditorium Shores in support of O’Rourke’s heated challenge to Republican U.S. Senator Ted Cruz.

O’Rourke, a former punk rock musician, briefly joined Nelson on stage — sans guitar — to sing the hit song “On the Road Again,” a nod to his boasts about visiting all 254 counties in Texas to meet with voters of all stripes.
