Videos released of U.S. missile strikes against Syria


The U.S. military has released video from warships where 59 U.S. Tomahawk cruise missiles were fired on the Syrian airbase from which Tuesday’s chemical weapons attacks were reportedly launched against the Syrian people.

The Pentagon also released a statement detailing the attack and confirming that the Russians were notified in advance of the strike.

According to the statement, extra precautions were taken to avoid civilian casualties and to minimize risk to Russian or Syrian personnel located at the airfield.

The operation was targeted toward Syria’s aircraft, aircraft shelters, petroleum and logistical storage, ammunition supply bunkers, air defense systems, and radars.

The primary purpose of the strike was to deter the regime from using chemical weapons again.
