VP Pence Visits Concentration Camp (video)

On a visit to Germany, Vice President Mike Pence and his family canvassed the remains of the notorious Dachau concentration camp.

A site to carry out Hitler’s “Final Solution”, Dachau housed around 200,000 people during its existence, becoming the resting place for upwards of 40,000. United States troops exposed the camp in 1945.

Abba Naor, a Dachau survivor, guided the Pence’s through the camp, as the Second Family of the U.S. placed a wreath at the foot of the International Memorial. Pence and those with him then attended a church service at the remains of the camp.

In his first trip abroad, Pence discussed matter with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and other global officials at the Munich Security Conference on Saturday.
