Gun control activist David Hogg, a former student of Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, graduated from Harvard University this week, and the first thing he did was make a dig at some prominent conservatives, including Fox News host Laura Ingraham.

After the Parkland school shooting on Valentine’s Day in 2018, Hogg, then only 17, launched the March For Our Lives student activist group, and became a prominent face in the media, calling for gun control legislation.

During the same time, Hogg was rejected by multiple colleges, and lamented at one point that he had been rejected by four colleges in California.

Ingraham then posted a note on Twitter, mocking, “David Hogg Rejected By Four Colleges To Which He Applied and whines about it. (Dinged by UCLA with a 4.1 GPA…totally predictable given acceptance rates.)”

Hogg erupted in outrage, and went on a massive campaign calling out every organization who advertised on Ingraham’s show.  As a result, over 15 companies pulled their ads from Ingraham’s show, although most eventually went back when the dust settled.

Fast forward to this week.  On Thursday, Hogg posted a photo of himself in his cap and gown, holding his diploma from Harvard University, and mockingly wrote, “Hey @IngrahamAngle, you can send my graduation present to: http://Marchforourlives.com/donate.”

In a second tweet, he posted a video of himself saying, “I just graduated from Harvard. I would personally like to take a moment to those who got me here: Laura Ingraham, Marjorie Taylor Greene, the haters, and those who actually loved me, like my parents, my sister and all of those along the way who believed in me even when I didn’t believe in myself.”

In another video, as Hogg is presented his diploma, he was commended for his efforts to “end gun violence, getting out the youth vote, and getting young people to run for state legislature after college.”

“David plans on working to end influence of the gun lobbyists and the NRA,” the announcer is heard saying.

Some Twitter users are congratulating Hogg, while others are piling on with mockery, and informing him that a degree from Harvard isn’t necessarily anything to be proud of.
