Amid all the fiery debate in the House of Representatives on Wednesday on the resolution to impeach President Donald Trump for a second time, one Republican lawmaker stood up and read a statement from the president himself.
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) read the following statement from President Trump:
“I urge that there must be no violence, no lawbreaking, no vandalism of any kind. This is not what I stand for, it is not what America stands for. I call on all Americans to help ease tensions and calm down.”
Democrats are blaming the president for the violent uprising that occurred at the Capitol building last Wednesday, claiming he incited the riot.
