Anthony David Weiner is the husband of Huma Abedin, a top aide to Hillary Clinton. Weiner is best known as the New York politician and former U.S. representative who resigned from Congress in June 2011 due to a sexting scandal.

FROM WIKIPEDIA: On May 27, 2011, Weiner sent a link to a sexually explicit photograph of himself via his public Twitter account to an adult woman who was following him on Twitter. After several days of denying he had posted the image, Weiner held a press conference at which he admitted he had “exchanged messages and photos of an explicit nature with about six women over the last three years”.Screen Shot 2016-08-13 at 9.04.36 PM He apologized for his earlier denials. Weiner announced on June 16, 2011, that he would resign from Congress, and he formally did so on June 21.

A second scandal began on July 23, 2013, several months after Weiner returned to politics in the New York City mayoral race. Explicit photos were sent by him under the alias “Carlos Danger” to a 22-year-old woman with whom Weiner had contact as late as April 2013, more than a year after he had left Congress. The 22-year-old woman was later revealed as Sydney Leathers, an Indiana native who first came into contact with him by expressing her disapproval of his extramarital behaviors.

A third scandal is now making headlines.

The New York Post has published a copy of the text messages Weiner exchanged with a man pretending to be a female college student.  Earlier this week, Anthony Weiner was in L.A. for an appearance on HBO when a Twitter follower lured him into a chat.  He  boasted of his animal prowess — claiming he was “deceptively strong . . . like a mongoose” — and gave his cellphone number.  The screenshots of the exchange can be seen on the Post’s website.

Weiner is claiming he knew it was a setup.
