Literally less than an hour after President Obama endorsed Hillary Clinton Thursday, spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters during a White House press briefing Hillary Clinton’s classified email scandal is a “criminal investigation.”
Republican National Committee spokesman Michael Short told reporters the White House’s admission that the FBI is investigating Hillary Clinton’s email server as a “criminal” matter counters her dishonest claim that the investigation is just a routine “security inquiry.”
“This is another reminder of her reckless conduct as Obama’s secretary of state, where her attempt to skirt government transparency laws exposed highly classified information and put our national security at risk,” said Short.
Depending on evidence found in the Inspector General’s audit, Hillary’s email practices may have violated the U.S. Espionage Act and would thus subject Clinton to 10 years in prison. Hillary, however, dismisses she will be indicted.
