WHY CRUZ WILL DROP OUT AFTER INDIANA

DML OPINION:  For weeks I’ve been saying it on UNFILTERED: “Cruz delegates will move over to Trump.”  When Cruz supporters hear me say such a thing they immediately tell me I’m nuts.  But with each passing day it’s becoming more obvious that I am the poster boy for sanity.

Two reasons why I know I’m correct:

1) Cruz delegates will move to Trump because of human nature — people want to be part of a winning team.  That said, lets face it, Trump is winning state after state and there are no signs of him losing Indiana or California.  He has so much momentum right now — meanwhile, Cruz is fizzing out like a nickel rocket.  According to a story posted today on one of the most famous anti-Trump websites, The National Review, Cruz delegates are second guessing their commitment to Cruz and considering Trump.

2) The second reason is Cruz himself.  Although he is a true conservative on many issues, Senator Ted Cruz has shown signs of being an amateur when the pressure is on.  First, there was the short-lived alliance with Gov Kasich.  What a stupid thing to do.  Second, why did Cruz announce he had selected a running mate (Carly Fiorina)?  Not only was it way too early, but it came off as being desperate.  Nobody wants a president who appears desperate.  Third, I believe it revealed the real Ted Cruz.  The real Ted Cruz is a phony politician who will do and say anything to get what he wants.  Even the biggest Cruz fans are starting to see right through him.

Plus, why Carly Fiorina?  She isn’t a game changer.  She’s a former candidate who ended up on the JV debate stage.  He would have been better off picking someone far more interesting.  But perhaps he couldn’t find anyone to say yes?

Ted Cruz has painted himself into a corner and he knows it.  At this point I believe he is no longer thinking about the White House 2016.   I think he knows he has no chance.  Thus, he’s quietly planning a way of dropping out sooner than later.  He knows that if he cuts ties now he can save his reputation.  He also knows if he continues down the anti-Trump road he will completely destroy his career.

Ted Cruz will lose big in Indiana.  Don’t be shocked if he drops out of the race on Wednesday and lets John Kasich be the suicide candidate.

Take our poll: Will Cruz drop out after Indiana?
