WHY YOU LOVE TRUMP

Trump 77

Admit it.  Prior to June 2015 you didn’t think much of Donald Trump.

Yes, you admired his wealth, but you thought his hair looked ridiculous, and his self-promoting style turned you off. All of his marketing material was saturated in the color gold — you found that to be tacky.

If you watched the Apprentice, you chuckled at the “celebrity” part of the Celebrity Apprentice because the “celebrities” he booked on the show were D-listers, at best.

You are not alone.  Most people didn’t take Trump very seriously.   But then something happened.

The first time you “liked” Trump was when he announced his candidacy and punched home the truth about illegal immigration.   The drug dealers, rapists and criminals are coming through the border and it is destroying the United States.  You were thrilled to hear someone with huge name recognition state the truth in bold colors.

You “liked” him even more when he didn’t back down to all the pundits and politicians who demanded Trump apologize to Sen. John McCain for telling it like it is.  And then you “REALLY LIKED” Trump when he called for a temporary ban on Muslims after the terror attack in California.

You “REALLY REALLY LIKED” knowing that despite being offered donations, Trump decided he would reject it all and continue funding his own campaign because he will not be a puppet to special interest groups.

Most Americans love an underdog.  Most Americans love a fighter.  When it comes to the 2016 race, Trump is the underdog fighter.  He is the Rocky Balboa of politics.  Much like Rocky, Trump doesn’t speak smoothly — his style of talk is choppy.   Like a boxer who has been hit too many times in the head, Trump often repeats himself — but then again, people who speak without a teleprompter often do.

That said, you no longer “like” Trump.  You now “love” Trump.  Here is why:

Normal, everyday people all share one thing in common.  None of us enjoy being screwed over.  And the only thing worse than being screwed over is being screwed over by your own team.   You see Trump being screwed over by his own team and it infuriates you.

Trump has always been good to Fox News.  For years he’s been a regular weekly guest on Fox & Friends.  Why does Fox allow such a thing?  Because Trump draws ratings.  And yet, Fox News put the screws to him at the debates.

Trump has donated more money to Republicans than he has to Democrats.  And yet, the GOP continues to screw him.

There were 19 GOP candidates at the get-go.  But it was Cruz who Trump treated with the most respect.   And yet, Cruz enjoys screwing Trump.

Trump donated to Romney and endorsed him in 2012.  And yet, Romney screwed Trump a few months ago.

The amount of people and organizations who have screwed over Trump is mind-boggling.   And so you feel for him because you’ve been in his shoes — you know it hurts.

You love the way Trump fights back.  Something in your heart says he will fight for you, and he will fight for America, in the same manner he fights for himself.   You love knowing someone has your back, and for that very reason you will overlook his imperfections — for that very reason you shower him with love.
