WIKILEAKS: NEWSMAX CEO Pushes Obama Rhetoric

Chris Ruddy, the CEO of Newsmax, is a name you will find when searching through the John Podesta emails released by Wikileaks.   Ruddy, who is a 7-figure donor to the Clinton Foundation, often promotes himself and Newsmax as conservative.  But according to articles appearing on Breitbart News and Daily Caller, Ruddy’s chummy relationship with Bill and Hillary Clinton runs deeper than his readers realize, and he’s been a recipient of the “Pay for Play” favors that come with donating the the Clinton Foundation.

According to an article written earlier this month on, Ruddy’s Newsmax has failed to adequately report on the Wikileaks emails.   Perhaps this is because Ruddy is a Clinton Foundation donor?  Or is it because Ruddy doesn’t want his readership to know that his name continues to surface in the hacked emails?

screen-shot-2016-10-30-at-1-02-46-pmDuring the summer, a few media outlets listed Ruddy as a possible replacement for Roger Ailes at Fox News. This spurred CNN to interview Ruddy.  CNN asked if anyone at Fox News had reached out to Ruddy.  The Newsmax CEO declined to answer.

According to a DML source within the high ranks at Fox News who asked his name not be mentioned in this article, Ruddy’s name was never mentioned when the news giant was looking for a replacement to Ailes.  “I don’t know who started that rumor but if you look at Newsmax close enough you see a media company on the decline.  Nobody is impressed with his online business — Ruddy buys his website traffic — and the Newsmax TV initiative is in total freefall.  Ruddy continues to lose distribution [Dish Network and DirectTV], and when he pulled DML off air he lost any chance he had at expanding the Newsmax audience.”

Although DML’s show was the highest rated on the network, Ruddy pulled him off the air during a live broadcast on August 10 after Lynch voiced a disliking for Ruddy’s decision to have “the company” tell Lynch what topics he’d be covering each night.  DML also rejected running Newsmax’s prepacked news clips about the sexual harrassment lawsuit surrounding Roger Ailes.

According to DML, Ruddy’s decision to have “the company” dictate the topics covered on Lynch’s show came a day after DML highlighted 5 deaths that tie back to Clinton and the DNC

Ruddy has a long history of writing articles that are pro-Bill Clinton, pro-Clinton Foundation, and pro-Hillary. And in a newly leaked email, we learn that Ruddy reported to the Clinton campaign that his article supporting Obama’s border security bill is readily available.  Ruddy writes, “As you can imagine it’s not wildly popular with my readership, but the message I hope will sink in over time . . . .

Obama’s bill was rejected by Republicans.
