Freddy the Great Dane, holds a Guinness World Record for being the World’s Biggest Dog.
He stands at 7ft 6in on his hind legs!
41-year-old, Claire Stoneman, resides in Essex where she takes care of Freddy and his sister Fleur full time. Stoneman who is utterly devoted to her pets says that her dedication to them is a priority over her own love life.
Stoneman told reporters, “I’ve been single for the best part of four years. But I get cuddles off the dogs and I don’t have to wash dirty underpants. They are children to me… because I haven’t had any kids. They need me and it’s quite nice to be needed.”
Assuming she can find a partner that would accept her massive roommates, Stoneman says she now would welcome a relationship.
Not only is space a challenge with the precious pooches, but with dogs as big as Freddy and Fleur maintenance costs are also massive! Stoneman said that spends in excess of £12,500 a year to look after the pair. It doesn’t help that Freddy’s favorite snack is a whole roast chicken or peanut butter on toast.
But Freddy’s palate doesn’t stop there. As a puppy he also enjoyed snacking on sofa’s. In fact, he feasted on 23 in total!
“I’d come home and find a sea of foam across the floor. But he’s my baby and I can’t imagine life without him,” Stoneman said to the Daily Mail in 2014.
You can see Freddy on Channel 5 in the U.K. – The World’s Biggest Dog on December 29, 8pm.
