Woman Shot In The Face At SC Gun Range

Authorities say one woman was hospitalized Monday after she was accidentally shot in the face at a gun range in Anderson County, South Carolina.

Lt. Sheila Cole with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office said deputies and EMS were called to the Skip-J Range around 2 p.m., FOX Carolina reported.

Cole said the 24-year-old victim was in serious condition and was transported to a nearby hospital.

The owner of the shooting range told FOX Carolina that the shooting was an accident, and the first one that has ever happened since the range opened 24 years ago.

The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office said the incident is currently under investigation.
