Here is a small prom dress story any mother can appreciate. Malexa Maeweather of Rochester, NY wanted the perfect prom dress. Yet the one she wanted only existed on Instagram and couldn’t be found anywhere else.
So Maeweather turned to an independent designer who said she would “play around with the design” and whip up a similar dress. The designer, Kia Wagner, asked for a $100 deposit with a $300 charge for the final product.
The result is rather cringeworthy. See the photos below:
On Facebook Malexa’s mother posted the dress with the caption, “R u serious was I wrong for wanting my DEPOSIT BACK.”
Needless to say, Malexa didn’t wear the dress to prom, and her mother did indeed get the deposit back.
