A husband and wife from Dublin, Ireland, have both been diagnosed with terminal cancer and only have a few months to live.
Ed and Karen Stewart were given the earth-shattering news within weeks of each other and are now trying to savor the precious time they have left with their three young children.
Karen, 36, had previously overcome neuroblastoma but was told earlier this year it had returned 16 years from her original diagnosis. Husband Ed, 42, was then told in May that he had terminal pancreatic cancer.
Friends and family have set up a fundraising campaign to raise money for the couple’s enjoyment of their final months with their children, 10-year-old Keeva, 8-year-old Finn and 4-year-old Erin.
The couple is urging parents to seek medical care if they are feeling unwell because it’s better to be safe than sorry. They are also encouraging people to make as many memories as possible with their families, saying life can be short and there are no guarantees.
