Today is August 5 and I am Dennis Michael Lynch. Below are my opinions on the stories grabbing headlines this morning. I hope you share this briefing as doing so will make you the smartest person in the room, in my opinion. And don’t forget to download the free DML App from the Google Play or Apple App Store to remain connected to me throughout the day.

1-Immigration hawk loses primary in Kansas
Rep. Roger Marshall defeated controversial former Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach Tuesday evening to win the Republican nomination for a Senate seat being vacated by longtime Sen. Pat Roberts, R-KS.

The win in the GOP primary means that Republican voters in the Sunflower State heeded their party’s advice by choosing the more moderate Marshall over the conservative firebrand Kobach. Republican leadership was concerned that a Kobach win would could ultimately flip the generally safe Senate seat to the Democrats in November’s general election.

Besides besting Kobach, Marshall prevailed in a crowded GOP primary field with the backing of major farm, business and anti-abortion groups but without an endorsement from President Trump.

DML: If you ever doubted the word RINO, and if you ever questioned who the GOP really wants to support, all you have to do is look at this race in Kansas. The push the GOP made for a centrist versus a guy who actually supports enforcement of our immigration laws is in full view.  Koback will one day be my DHS head.

2-COVID-19 and links to secondhand smoke
While secondhand smoke likely doesn’t directly cause the coronavirus, smokers can exhale infected droplets into the air, experts say.

“Not only are they potentially spreading virus by not wearing a mask, they are blowing those droplets to the people around them to potentially get infected,” Dr. Albert Rizzo, chief medical officer for the American Lung Association, told the Associated Press.

The virus is mainly thought to spread from person to person through respiratory droplets. Secondhand smoke also reduces lung function, can inflame asthma and cause heart disease, lung cancer or a stroke – all of which would complicate contracting the coronavirus, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Cigarette smoke contains hundreds of toxic chemicals and at least 70 that can cause cancer.

DML: Is this not insane? Cigarette smoke, firsthand and secondhand, kills 480,000 Americans per year according to the CDC.  Where is the masks and social distancing rules for smoking?  We can prevent cigarette deaths in the US, but somehow we have more focus on how the secondhand smoke can cause COVID.  Everything is upside down.

3-Anti-gun Dem wins primary
The polarizing St. Louis prosecutor who charged a couple for flashing guns at a crowd marching to the mayor’s home last month has been nearly assured another term after winning Tuesday’s primary election.

St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner defeated Mary Pat Carl in the Democratic primary by a 61-39 margin, according to Fox 2 Now. Due to St. Louis voters being mostly Democratic, she’s projected to be favorited come November against Republican Daniel Zdrodowski.

Gardner, 44, said her victory on Tuesday was “about people who sent a message that they want reform in the city of St. Louis.”

Last month, she charged Mark and Patricia McCloskey — both personal injury attorneys in their 60s — with felony unlawful use of a weapon for displaying guns when protesters marched near their home.

DML: Wake up America, these radicals want your guns, they want you wearing masks and dependent on the US government.

4- AZ kids not returning to school, report suggests
Sending students back to school during the coronavirus pandemic is pure “fantasy,” Hayden-Winkelman School District (Ariz.) Superintendent Jeff Gregorich told Fox Business Network’s “Varney & Co.” Tuesday.

On June 26, local elementary school teacher Kimberley Chavez Lopez Byrd, 61, died of COVID-19 after teaching summer school. Two other teachers were also infected even though the team followed all safety precautions, Gregorich said.

“They were team teaching because we were trying to learn to use the online tools because of the second wave we’re expecting in the fall,” he said. “We wanted to be prepared this time around and that didn’t work.”

Gregorich told host Stuart Varney that he doesn’t believe young students will be able to follow social distancing guidelines.

DML: The liberals are destroying every aspect of America brick by brick.  If kids do not go back to school, Trump will lose the election.

5- Houston to fine for not wearing masks
Houston is the latest city to announce fines for residents who refuse to wear masks in an effort to control the spread of coronavirus, joining a growing list of local and state governments — some of which are handing out citations up to $1,000.

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner announced Monday that the city will start fining people $250 for not wearing a mask in public.

Other local officials have made similar announcements as states like Texas, Arizona, California and Florida have seen concerning upticks in cases. New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham announced a statewide $100 fine for those who don’t wear a mask in public.

DML: Although not proven to do a single thing to stop COVID-19 from being spread, and proving time and again not to protect people from catching the virus, we are now being told we must wear a mask or else it will cost you money.  This reminds me of the provision in Obamacare where we were taxed if we didn’t want to carry insurance.  Seems unconstitutional to me!

MY PARTYING WORDS: They want to control you and your body, that’s my opinion.  “They” are the Democrats and radical types like the folks who use the shield of ‘Black Lives Matter’ to loot and cause harm.  At the end of the day, you should be able to determine what is best for you — you should be protecting yourself.  You don’t need government to keep you safe.  If anything, government will hurt you before it helps you.  One way to take control is by boosting your immune system.  Don’t believe me, ask any doctor who isn’t part of the radical team led by Dr. Anthony Fauci.  Every doctor worth visiting will tell you that boosting your immune system is essential.  Thus, why thousands upon thousands of Americans use and love my DML CBD.  I am giving away more items than I am selling this week.  You have go to take advantage of this wave of free stuff!  DMLcbd.com/wave

  1. Dr. Vladimir Zelenko, who pioneered the use of Hydroxychloroquin, and zinc with 100% success since March appeared on Steve Bannon’s War Room Ep 315 8/4/20. He discussed Dr. Fauci’s opposition and how many lives could have been saved if his treatment was adopted in April. Does Dr. Fauci have a financial interest in a new vaccine? Watch the War Room on Youtube.com.

  2. Bill, of course Fauci and Gates are in cahoots for a financial gain on a vaccine. They want it to be mandatory for everyone.
Gates is using people in south Africa as Guinea pigs for his experimental vaccines. It is said because “they dont know any better” to resist. Evil is everywhere.

  3. I find it ludicrous that these “officials” want to impose monetary fines, while allowing the homeless to poop on the streets with no repercussions! The world has officially gone nuts!!

  4. With Biden on the brink of winning due to Trumps horrible campaign and worse messaging, don’t even think about crusading against cigarettes! Best damn product on earth . When did America get obese ? When dummies were conned into giving up smoking!
