WASHINGTON, D.C. — Former Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook testified Friday that then-Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton approved the dissemination of materials alleging a covert communications channel between the Trump Organization and Russia’s Alfa Bank to the media, despite campaign officials not being “totally confident” in the legitimacy of the data.

Mook was called to the stand for testimony by Michael Sussmann’s defense Friday.

The article goes on to state the following:

During cross-examination by government prosecutor Andrew DeFillippis Friday, Mook was asked about the campaign’s understanding of the Alfa Bank allegations against Trump and whether they planned to release the data to the media.

Mook testified that then-Clinton campaign general counsel Marc Elias, who was also a partner at law firm Perkins Coie, first briefed him about the alleged link between Trump and Russia’s Alpha Bank, and told him that the information had come from “people that had expertise in this sort of matter.”

Mook said Clinton’s campaign was not totally confident in the legitimacy of the data, so they decided to hand it over to a reporter who could further “run it down” to determine if it was “accurate” or “substantive.”

He said he discussed the matter with multiple campaign officials, including campaign chairman John Podesta, senior policy advisor, now White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, and communications director Jennifer Palmieri.

“I discussed it with Hillary as well,” Mook admitted, confirming Clinton approved the plan to hand the now-debunked information to a reporter.

After the false claims hit the news, Sullivan released a statement backing it up, and Hillary Clinton posted the statement on her Twitter account on Oct. 31, 2016, claiming, “Computer scientists have apparently uncovered a covert server linking the Trump Organization to a Russian-based bank.”

Fox News reporter Jake Gibson tweeted:

Robby Mook, the Clinton Campaign Manager in 2016 said in court Friday that Hillary Clinton herself approved the idea of giving the Alfa Bank story to a reporter. “We told her we have this and we want to share it with a reporter. She agreed to that.”

Robby Mook clarified that he’s not sure if Hillary found out about the plan before or after the campaign gave the Alfa Bank info to a reporter. “All I remember was that she agreed with the decision.”

Fox reporter Brooke Singman tweeted:

NEW: @RobbyMook testifies @HillaryClinton herself approved the dissemination of info alleging a covert communications channel between the #Trump Organization & #Russia‘s #AlfaBank to the media, despite camp. officials not being “totally confident”in its legitimacy.

Former FBI General Counsel James Baker testified that after the #FBI investigated the allegations of the covert communications channel between #Trump Organization and #Russia‘s Alfa Bank, the bureau concluded “there was nothing there.”

As the news was emerging, Fox News show “Outnumbered” discussed the latest development.  Panelist Lisa Kennedy Montgomery, known as “Kennedy”, noted that at the time the now-debunked information was brought to the FBI, Clinton herself was under investigation over the private server she kept in her basement… so the response was to accuse Trump of having a server in Trump Tower connected to a Russian bank.

Washington Times reporter Jeff Mordock also tweeted, “Robby Mook throws Perkins Coie under the bus, said he never spoke to Fusion GPS, never engaged them. Said it was Perkins Coie was overseeing them and he had nothing to do with it.”

Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk joked, “Getting ahead of this one now — Robby Mook did not kill himself.”

Arthur Schwartz mocked, “RIP Robby Mook (1979-2022).”

WATCH the interview below, which occurred on Thursday. Kash Patel, former DOD Chief of Staff, declared, “It all leads to Hillary.”

  1. It has always been Hillary! Hillary Clinton wouldn’t allow ANYTHING to be done without her approval because she’s a control freak and believes she’s smarter than everyone around her and in the country as well. She believed that because she’s Goddess Clinton that the peasant class (entire) country would blindly believe her and worship at her feet for saving our Republic! She was shocked when it didn’t work but she couldn’t stop it and to this day doesn’t know or understand why the masses didn’t worship her.
