Robert Costello, the former legal advisor to ex-Trump attorney Michael Cohen, appeared before the grand jury in the Manhattan District Attorney’s investigation into former President Trump Monday, and testified that Cohen is a “serial liar.”

Costello testified before the grand jury for more than two hours Monday, as Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg considers bringing charges against former President Trump.

Those possible charges stem from the $130,000 hush-money payment that then-Trump lawyer Michael Cohen made to adult film star Stormy Daniels, whose legal name is Stephanie Clifford, in the weeks leading up to the 2016 presidential election in exchange for her silence about an alleged sexual encounter with Trump in 2006.

Costello testified on Monday that Trump was not aware of the payment cohen made to Stormy Daniels, and blasted Cohen as a liar.

“There can be no doubt in anyone’s mind that Michael Cohen has great difficulty telling the truth. He is, after all a convicted perjurer, and our track record with Mr. Cohen convinced us that he was a serial liar,” Costello said.

“As might be expected, Mr. Cohen’s lies were always uttered in a way that was beneficial to himself. When it was in Mr. Cohen’s personal self-interest, he was capable of telling the truth, but those occasions were few and far between,” Costello added.

Costello also blasted the grand jury for cherry picking through emails, and only using six emails to try to make their case against Trump.

Costello also spoke out about his testimony on Monday in an interview with Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

Longtime Trump ally Rudy Giuliani tweeted earlier on Monday, “Robert Costello, Cohen’s former lawyer, blows apart Bragg’s political prosecution of the serial perjurer and turncoat Michael Cohen. It’s supported by other witnesses, a fully researched independent book and the conclusion of the Federal prosecutors who all found too untruthful… ”

The report also notes that both federal prosecutors in the U.S.  attorneys office for the Southern District of New York and the Federal Election Commission have previously opted to not prosecute Trump over the Stormy Daniels scandal.

  1. Remember the 2016 Debate with HRC and Trump, when Trump said “you’d be in jail” and everyone in the audience cheered….The look on HRC’s face, was priceless and you could tell she was fuming mad!….That is what all this is about…Trump embarrassed the living 💩 out of her and HRC is gonna make sure she gets revenge!

  2. That skank hillary should be in jail. Remember when the clintons walked out of the WH at the end of bill’s term in office with many things they claim were gifted to them. It turns out that they ended up paying $83,000+ for everything they took so they would look good in the eyes of Americans. Yeah, right. Once a stinking skank thief, always a stinking skank thief.

  3. Kudos to Cohan’s former attorney Robert Costello for telling the truth today about Cohan which totally discredited Cohan which helped President Trump! 👍 There should not be any indictment of President Trump!

  4. So what are they trying to divert our attention from while they conduct this show of trying to arrest President Trump? The fact that many, many Chinese nationals are crossing our southern border illegally?

  5. They are happy to just push on mainstream media for as long as they can, just like FBI raid, to place doubt going into 2024 elections. Too dumb to realize at this point the lies have pushed people to support him more, especially if charged on either issue
