Police in St. Cloud, Minn., are on the scene of a bank robbery in progress at a Wells Fargo location on 33rd Avenue South in the city.

No injuries had been reported but the department had deployed all of its available resources to the scene, spokeswoman Lt. Lori Ellering told Fox News, and the FBI was assisting.

The article goes on to state the following:

Authorities first responded to the robbery-in-progress call shortly before 2 p.m. CT. It was not immediately clear how many people were trapped inside the bank.

Reporter Nick Streiff shared an overhead video of the bank as the hostage situation is underway, and stated, “St. Cloud Police say they have not been made aware of any injuries at this time. The FBI is also assisting.”

“Police say “an undisclosed number of bank employees being held hostage inside” of a Wells Fargo branch in St. Cloud. Still no reports of injuries. Negotiations ongoing,” Streiff added.

Another reporter, Jeff Wagner, then posted a video as one hostage was released, and noted that someone appeared to throw a wad of cash out the door.

Soon, a second hostage was released.

“Large crowd has formed across the street from the Wells Fargo bank in St. Cloud, where a robbery has turned into a hostage situation. Hostages are staff. Unclear how many. No injuries reported. Negotiations continue,” Wagner tweeted.

Wagner said a “couple hundred people” have gathered to watch as the hostage situation unfolds at the Wells Fargo bank.

This is a developing story.
