President Donald Trump released a video message to the American people on Wednesday evening, strongly condemning the violent uprising that occurred at the U.S. Capitol building last Wednesday.

The president’s message comes just hours after Congress voted to impeach him for the second time, holding him responsible and saying he incited his supporters to commit the invasion on the Capitol.

In the five-minute video, President Trump said the incident “struck at the very heart of our republic.”

“I want to very clear. I unequivocally condemn the violence we saw last week. Violence and vandalism have absolutely no place in our country, and no place in our movement. Making America Great Again has always been about defending the rule of law,” Trump said.

“Mob violence goes against everything I believe in, and everything our movement stands for. No true supporter of mine could ever endorse political violence. No true supporter of mine could ever disrespect law enforcement, or our great American flag. No true supporter of mine could ever threaten or harass their fellow Americans. If you do any of these things, you are not supporting our movement. You are attacking it, and you are attacking our country. We cannot tolerate it,” he added.

  1. This is a sad day for our country! Nancy Pelosi & her demonic cronies push an illegitimate impeachment to cover their crimes! President Trump is the best President in our lifetime!! Thank you Mr President for all you have done for us! We will be forever grateful!!πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ’žπŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

  2. Thank you President Trump. #TrumpstillPresident
You NEVER invited or incited violence. Always speaking against it!!! You have served the American people and the United States of America admirably. I salute you President Trump.

  3. I wondered all along if this was President Trumps way of bailing out at the very end by allowing the protesters to climb the walls and break in to the capitol? This is my only hesitation. I go back and forth on this but knowing how awful the democrats are I also would not put it past them to set this all up to accuse Trump of inciting the violence when the violence had nothing to do with him in the first place. He was right in saying, “I never condone violence as a resolution” so the question in my mind is, “why now?” WHY did he just charged without a trial or proof he did anything wrong? Oh, I know… Guilty verdict before Innocent verdict. I’m pretty sure Trump might not have wanted to run for President again in 4 years anyway. Remember, they tried to shut Jesus up by nailing him to a cross and look what happened! Thank you President Trump for all you did and tried to do for our country. You didn’t lose anything at all if you maintained honesty and truth to end, God will provide favor to you and his justice will be served. May this be so-
