Sen. Lisa Murkowski on Sunday became the second Republican senator to oppose moving forward with a Supreme Court nomination after the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, further complicating Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s effort to fill the vacancy before Election Day.

“For weeks, I have stated that I would not support taking up a potential Supreme Court vacancy this close to the election,” the Alaska Republican said in a statement. “Sadly, what was then a hypothetical is now our reality, but my position has not changed.”

The article goes on to state the following:

Murkowski joins Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) as the only GOP senators to so far oppose the bid by McConnell (R-Ky.) to fill Ginsburg’s seat immediately. McConnell can afford to lose only three Republicans, and all Democrats are expected to back Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) in arguing that Ginsburg’s seat should not be filled until 2021.

    • She will be a loss if she does what she say if there is a republican up next to her they will win cause people in their right mind won’t vote for her I sure wouldn’t her and Susan Collins both have sold out to the democrats

  1. McConnell needs to have a sit-down with those two women. If we wanted to side with Democrats (and have our country destroyed by them), we would have voted FOR a Democrat! Support the President and this REPUBLIC! Obama was a lame duck President. Trump is the incumbent and is up for re-election. Fill that seat! It could be the only thing standing between our country and it’s demise. Close ranks and FILL THAT SEAT!

  2. If Trump loses the election, he is still the POTUS until January 20, 3021 at 12:00 noon. That’s 4 months. The Presidential term does not end on Nov 3. If the Liberals weren’t outraged, ranting and threatening it wouldn’t be a normal day. They are the most unhappy people on the planet.

  3. I have faith President Trump will win in november, as long as the democrats don’t cheat like the do (illegals voting). Look up democrat operative claims he was involved in massive mail in voting for decades. He also explains how they did this. Remember it’s been going on for decades.

  4. Why do they feel like they can just stand in the way of the process. The President doesn’t stop being president 6weeks before an election. Fill the seat and remove anyone that gets in the way.

  5. So the senator wants to wait until after the election. This tells the American people two things about her. 1) She does not have our best interest at heart. 2) She’s part of the deep state. We need that judge to balance out the court. Democrats know that. Having a 4 to 4 ratio in the Supreme Court will cause more chaos. That’s what the Deep State wants. We the people are becoming aware of your games at our expense.

  6. Alaskans should’ve voted her out the first chance they got after what she did to Ted Stevens. Susan Collins has been there forever and has never been a true Republican, but the voters keep sending her back. Voters are the problem every bit as much (if not more so) than the candidates, especially once they have a record.

  7. Murkowski and Collins are both traders to the Republican Party and the voters that elected them, if you can’t support your president and you party then they should both resign or switch to the socialist Democratic party

    • Once in a lifetime opportunity for Republicans and these two socialist clowns , Murkowski and Collins want to ruin the opportunity. Both are socialist Democrats masquerading as Republicans. Next to flip and go with the socialists will be Romney

  8. Please remember these same RINOS agreed that 44 should refill Scalia’s seat immediately. Why is there a difference. What’s changed for these people??? 45. 45. 45. 45. 45!!!!!!!!!!
