FoxNews–Gunmen in armored vehicles attacked a state prison just across the border from El Paso early Sunday, killing 10 guards and four inmates, prosecutors said.
Various armed vehicles arrived at the state prison in Ciudad Juarez at about 7 a.m. and opened fire at guards, the Chihuahua state prosecutor’s office said in a statement.

Ryan Lynch: Incidents like this happen along our border consistently, people are sneaking in daily, and the White House doesn’t want to implement a solution. It’s comical.
2. Actor Jeremy Renner hospitalized in ‘critical but stable condition’ following snow plowing accident: report
FoxNews–Actor Jeremy Renner was reportedly hospitalized following a snow plowing accident on Sunday in Reno, Nevada.
A spokesperson for Renner told Deadline the actor was listed in “critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather related accident while plowing snow earlier today.”
The spokesperson said he is with his family and “receiving excellent care,” according to Deadline.
Ryan Lynch: I’m praying Jeremy Renner pulls through.
3. FBI raid Maine home of ‘All-American jihadi’: Times Square ‘terrorist’, 19, arrested with chilling manifesto loved NFL and dreamed of being a soldier before converting to Islam after dad’s death
DailyMail–The FBI raided the home of the teen who allegedly struck and injured three New York City police officers with a machete near Times Square on New Year’s Eve.
FBI officials entered Trevor Bickford’s house on Alpine Drive in Wells, Maine, on Sunday.
The raid came one day after the 19-year-old, who appeared to be a typical, all-American teen before allegedly radicalizing himself to Islam, allegedly attacked the officers in one of New York’s most popular tourist areas.

Ryan Lynch: New York City is becoming a failed society. The leadership and woke ideology are creating people like Trevor Bickford. Some of our institutions should be finding these people instead of worrying about censoring social media content.
4. Kamala Harris Requiring COVID Tests for Anyone Over Two Years Old to Participate in Senate Swearing-In Photos
Breitbart–Vice President Kamala Harris is requiring any senator or family member or guest of a senator wishing to take a photo with her at Tuesday’s swearing-in ceremony for the new Congress to have a negative coronavirus test taken within 24 hours of the picture, Breitbart News has learned.
The email forwarded a message sent from Grisella Martinez, the Director of Legislative Affairs in the Office of the Vice President, in which the senior Harris staffer relayed the coronavirus testing requirements.
“We look forward to welcoming your Senator on January 3, 2023, to the ceremonial reenactment for incoming and newly re-elected Senators in the Old Senate Chamber,” Martinez wrote. “As you are aware, White House COVID-19 protocols require that anyone over two-years of age who will interact with the Vice President take a medically-administered antigen test within 24 hours prior to interaction, and receive a negative result. This policy applies regardless of vaccination status.”
Ryan Lynch: While Harris is worried about Covid tests, she’s allowing thousands of illegal immigrants through our border daily; who knows what diseases they’re bringing accross.
5.Ukraine’s cities begin 2023 under attack from more Russian missiles and drones
CNBC–Ukrainians faced a grim start to 2023 as Sunday brought more Russian missile and drone attacks following a blistering New Year’s Eve assault that killed at least three civilians across the country, authorities reported.
Air raid sirens sounded in the capital shortly after midnight, followed by a barrage of missiles that interrupted the small celebrations residents held at home due to wartime curfews. Ukrainian officials alleged Moscow was deliberately targeting civilians along with critical infrastructure to create a climate of fear and destroy morale during the long winter months.
In a video address Sunday night, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy praised his citizens’ “sense of unity, of authenticity, of life itself.” The Russians, he said, “will not take away a single year from Ukraine. They will not take away our independence. We will not give them anything.”
Ryan Lynch: We need diplomatic solutions; I don’t understand why the United States, Ukraine, and Russia will not attempt to compromise a treaty. The bloodshed needs to stop.
