1.GOP deal emerges late Thursday that could give McCarthy a path to the speakership
FoxNews–After 11 votes in three days that went nowhere, signs emerged Thursday night that Kevin McCarthy may finally have a viable path to becoming the next House speaker.
It won’t be easy, automatic or immediate, according to House lawmakers who themselves were processing the information in real time as details of the deal emerged. But a written framework for rules in the 118th Congress was released on Thursday that McCarthy’s allies hope will allow many of the GOP lawmakers who have been voting against McCarthy all week to eventually support him.
Lawmakers said the framework gives members of the House Freedom Caucus (HFC) who have been resisting McCarthy virtually everything they’ve been asking for. That includes a stronger HFC representation on key House committees, guardrails aimed at curbing excessive federal spending, and allowing just a single member of the House to make a motion to replace the speaker, lawmakers familiar with the framework told Fox News.
Ryan Lynch: If McCarthy wants to be the speaker, he will need to do things he doesn’t want to. Like creating a committee to investigate the FBI and to handle the January 6th witch-hunt. The GOP needs to compromise.
2.Desperate father pleads with his pediatrician ex-wife NOT to chemically castrate their son, 9, after she suddenly moved to California from Texas: Reveals footage of her raising child as a girl
DailyMail–A desperate father has been pleading with his ex wife to not chemically castrate their son after she moved to California from Texas.
Jeff Younger, of Texas, revealed a video of his child, James, nine, claiming he’s a girl on Tucker Carlson Tonight.
The young boy claimed his mother, who is a pediatrician, told him he was female because he ‘loved girls’ and would dress him up in ‘dresses.’
‘If these parents and their kids come to California, the legislation will help protect them from having their kids taken away from them or from being criminally prosecuted for supporting their trans kids’ access to healthcare,’ State Senator Scott Weiner said in a statement.
The sanctuary law went into effect on January 1, 2023.

Ryan Lynch: The new law in California is deranged. It allows for this type of behavior to unfold. The ex-wife has no right to manipulate a young child’s life under the protection of California law.
3.Chair of California’s reparations task force says black people are owed $1MILLION each, demands black HOMELESS are compensated for ‘discriminatory housing practices’ – and says the money will ‘boost the economy’
DailyMail–The chair of California’s Reparations Task Force said black people are owed $1 million each and that black homeless people needed to be at the forefront of the proposed compensations.
Speaking with the Rev. Al Sharpton on MSNBC, Kamilah Moore said her task force found that California’s redlining housing practices targeting black Americans between 1933 and 1977 has had a direct effect on today’s homeless community.
Dubbing housing discrimination as one of the ‘five state sanction atrocities’ against black people, the panel initially recommended to California lawmakers that the state pay up $223,200 to each black resident.
Ryan Lynch: California has fallen so far. Who will pay for these reparations? You and I, or better yet, let’s print a bunch of money. The country is struggling, and they think we must give African American families a million dollars for slavery reparations. California has it backward.
4.NFL cancels Bills-Bengals game, modifies playoffs
TheHill–The NFL has canceled the game between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals days after Bills player Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field and needed to be resuscitated.
The league said in a statement on Thursday that Commissioner Roger Goodell told all teams about the decision after speaking with the Bills, the Bengals and the leadership of the NFL Players Association, the union representing players in the NFL.
“This has been a very difficult week,” Goodell said. “We continue to focus on the recovery of Damar Hamlin and are encouraged by the improvements in his condition as well as the tremendous outpouring of support and care for Damar and his family from across the country.”

5.’Gender Queer’ author doubles down on extremely graphic images of sex acts, says it could have been worse
FoxNews–The author of one of the most controversial books in America, Maia Kobabe, defended the sexually explicit graphic images in the memoir “Gender Queer” during an interview with NPR Wednesday.
“Gender Queer” has as courted major controversy among America’s parents for being in public school libraries throughout the U.S. and has been challenged for its depictions and descriptions of oral sex as well as discussions on masturbation.
The book also discusses Kobabe’s journey of self discovery towards identifying outside the “gender binary.”

Ryan Lynch: This book has no place in the hands of our children or youth. The fact it has become a debate whether it should or shouldn’t says enough about the current state of our country. Get rid of the book in our schools or youth section of the library!
