1. Ted Cruz reminds AOC her own Democratic Party founded KKK, wrote Jim Crow laws:

Fox News – Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., invited her colleague from across the aisle in Congress, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, to educate Twitter users on the history of America’s diametrically opposed political parties, and his answer is unlikely what she expected.

The impetus for the Twitter discussion stemmed from Cruz first commenting on the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People’s (NAACP) travel advisory for Florida that said the state “devalues and marginalizes the contributions of, and the challenges faced by African Americans and other communities of color.”

“This is bizarre. And utterly dishonest.” Cruz stated in a tweet Sunday. “In the 1950s & 1960s, the NAACP did extraordinary good helping lead the civil rights movement. Today, Dr. King would be ashamed of how profoundly they lost their way.”

A user responded in accusation that Cruz “would’ve been first in line to filibuster against the voting rights act, and the civil rights act,” in the 1950s and ’60s.

“Nonsense. That shameful filibuster was led by Democrats – your party. My party – the Republicans – proudly voted for the Civil Rights Act in much higher percentages than the racist Dems,” Cruz retorted in a tweet.

AOC inserted herself into the dialog by saying, “Why don’t you go ahead and tell people what happened to the parties after that, Ted.”

Cruz took her up on the offer and responded in a tweet thread…

Denny’s Insight: I love when AOC is given a history lesson. Cruz’s tweet thread kicks butt, everyone should check it out.

2. Judge Sets Donald Trump’s Criminal Trial for Middle of Republican Primary in March 2024:

Breitbart – The New York judge presiding over former President Donald Trump’s criminal case on Tuesday scheduled a trial date on March 25, 2024, just weeks after the Republican presidential primary’s “Super Tuesday,”

Trump appeared virtually before Judge Juan Merchan, seated beside his attorney, Todd Blanche.

During the hearing, Merchan reviewed the terms of a protective order prohibiting Trump from sharing any evidence the prosecutor exchanges with his attorneys on social media.

The protective order said evidence may not be shared or posted to “any news or social media platforms, including, but not limited, to Truth Social, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Twitter, Snapchat, or YouTube, without prior approval from the Court.”

Trump said the judge “violated” his First Amendment rights by implementing the protective order. He also accused Merchan of engaging in “ELECTION INTERFERENCE,” by setting the trial in the middle of the Republican presidential primary.

Denny’s Insight: In my twenty plus years living in America, I haven’t seen anyone more blatantly targeted by outside forces than Donald Trump. The liberal elitists within the justice system are trying everything to prevent him from running for office again.

3. Ex-Biden ‘Non-Binary’ Nuclear Official Sam Brinton To Be Placed In Men’s Jail Over Luggage Theft Charges:

Daily Wire – Former Biden Energy Department official Sam Brinton, who identifies as “non-binary,” will be placed in a men’s jail in Maryland before authorities transport him to Virginia over suitcase theft charges.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday told the New York Post that authorities would hold Brinton, 35, at the county men’s jail with the general male population next week per the Montgomery County Department of Correction and Rehabilitation policy, which states that officers process and house inmates based on their biological sex.

Denny’s Insight: Hahahahahaha lock “them” up!

4. MTG pays $100K for McCarthy-used chapstick in fundraiser:

Washington Examiner – House Republicans pivoted from debt ceiling talks on Tuesday to bid on Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s (R-CA) used chapstick to raise money for the National Republican Congressional Committee.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) shelled out $100,000 for the lip balm in a 15-minute auction.

“I’m honored to be able to donate $100,000 to the NRCC to help Republicans increase our majority in 2024 and defeat the Democrats,” Greene said in a statement to Politico. “My constituents will be honored to host a visit with Speaker Kevin McCarthy who we all think is doing a great job.”

Denny’s Insight: American politics can be so strange, but sometimes you gotta go with whatever works. If it really is used chapstick, I’m hoping MTG doesn’t plan to keep it and plaster it on her lips… LOL

5. Ron DeSantis to make 2024 US presidential bid official with Musk on Twitter:

Reuters – Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is expected to make his long-awaited foray into the 2024 presidential race on Wednesday in an unusual manner – at an event with billionaire Elon Musk on Twitter.

His entry changes the shape of the contest for the Republican nomination, as he likely will emerge as former President Donald Trump’s biggest rival. The nominee will face President Joe Biden, a Democrat, in the November 2024 general election.

DeSantis, 44, also plans to file paperwork declaring his candidacy with the Federal Election Commission, aides said.

Musk, the CEO of Tesla and Twitter with 140 million Twitter followers, said his own appearance will not constitute an endorsement but will reflect his desire to make the service more of a town square.

The Twitter event is at 6 p.m. ET (2200 GMT).

Denny’s Insight: Well, the time has arrived, so I must ask you, the reader: what are your thoughts on DeSantis’ announcement? Are you happy he’s using Twitter to conduct his campaign launch? Are you even happy he’s running for president? There’s no question he’ll be Trump’s biggest rival in the primary. Would you vote for him or for Trump? Leave your thoughts and comments below; tonight’s going to be a big night!
