Today is October 15 and I am Dennis Michael Lynch. Below are my opinions on the stories grabbing headlines this morning. I hope you share this briefing as doing so will make you the smartest person in the room, in my opinion. 1 – Computer repair store owner describes handing over laptop to FBI
Fox News reports: The owner of a Delaware computer repair store where a man he believes was Hunter Biden dropped off a laptop that allegedly contained emails detailing an opportunity for a meeting between former Vice President Joe Biden and a top Burisma executive and other “disturbing” items, told Fox News on Wednesday that he was frightened by what he saw.

The man, John Paul Mac Isaac, said he has a condition that affects his vision and “can’t be 100% sure” it was Hunter Biden who dropped off the computer for repair. The Wilmington shop owner said he contacted the FBI out of concern, but declined to specify what he meant.

Isaac’s claim that the laptop in question belonged to Hunter Biden has yet to be substantiated. Isaac told the New York Post, which first published the emails earlier Wednesday, that he determined it was Hunter Biden because the laptop had a sticker from the Beau Biden Foundation, which is named after his late older brother.

Isaac said the man who he believes to be Hunter Biden dropped off three laptops at his store in April 2019, only one of which was salvageable. While repairing the laptop, Isaac said he discovered disturbing material. The customer did not return for the laptop within 90 days and Isaac could not get in touch with him.

DML: Pray for this man’s safety.

2 – Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey admits they blew it on blocked Hunter Biden story
Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey addressed the controversy surrounding actions the company took on Wednesday to block the spread of a New York Post article critical of Hunter Biden, calling them “unacceptable.”

“Our communication around our actions on the @nypost article was not great,” he tweeted. “And blocking URL sharing via tweet or DM with zero context as to why we’re blocking: unacceptable.”

He was also asked by Dave Rubin on the same Twitter thread if the company shadow bans certain users in an attempt to stifle their online influence due to their political beliefs, and Dorsey only replied, “No.”

DML: Then take all the blocks off, Jack!

3 – Biden once again shatters fundraising record with eyepopping $383 million haul last month
Joe Biden shattered the monthly record for fundraising during a presidential campaign when he hauled in a massive $364.5 million in August.

Fast forward a month and the Democratic presidential nominee broke his own record, with the former vice president announcing Wednesday night on Twitter that the Biden campaign, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and their joint fundraising committees hauled in $383 million in September.

“To every person who chipped in a few dollars last month — thank you. Because of your support, we raised an astounding $383 million. I’m incredibly humbled,” Biden wrote.

DML: Now let’s compare the size of the crowds who support Biden vs. Trump.

4 – Don Lemon rips NBC for ‘rewarding’ Trump with town hall opposite ABC’s Biden event
CNN anchor Don Lemon had some harsh words for NBC after the network announced its town hall with President Trump, which is airing opposite of ABC’s town hall with Joe Biden on Thursday night.

Calling it the “story of the day,” Lemon told his primetime colleague Chris Cuomo that people were “outraged” about the dueling town halls, especially since it was Trump who backed out of the now-canceled virtual debate.

The “CNN Tonight” anchor accused NBC of “learning nothing from 2016” in “allowing a man who made all the wrong decisions” regarding the president’s handling of the coronavirus and “rewarding him with primetime.”

DML: Lemon meltdown!

5 – NBC employees lash out at network after announcing Trump town hall: ‘I‘m disgusted by my home network’
NBC employees are lashing out at their own network after it was announced the network is presenting a town hall with President Trump Thursday night airing directly opposite an ABC town hall with Joe Biden.

The Commission on Presidential Debates scrapped its second debate between the two candidates on Oct. 15 after it unilaterally changed the in-person town hall event into a virtual debate, prompting Trump to back out as he was still recovering from the coronavirus. Biden quickly landed a televised town hall moderated by ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos.

NBC revealed on Wednesday that it too will be hosting a town hall with the president moderated by “Today” co-anchor Savannah Guthrie.

DML: Now we know how they all lean!

5 – New Jersey mayor’s Facebook post blasting Trump and his supporters prompts outcry
A New Jersey mayor has come under fire for a private Facebook post that condemned President Donald Trump and likened his supporters to “religious zealots” who want to “enact the Christian version of Sharia law.”

The post, allegedly from Flemington Mayor Betsy Driver, was shared Saturday on the Hunterdon GOP’s website.

“This is day one of the new SCOTUS terms – the religious zealots want to enact the Christian version of Sharia law,” the post reads. “If you voted for the orange monster with COVID, go f— yourself. If you plan on voting for him again, unfriend me and go f— yourself again.”

DML: Unacceptable and appalling.

6 – New Jersey high schooler says teacher ordered him to take down Trump banner at home before virtual class
A New Jersey teen said a teacher ordered him to take down a Donald Trump banner hanging behind him in his home during a virtual class last week, according to local reports.

Anthony Ribeiro, a 17-year-old student at Toms River North High School said the teacher saw the banner and told him to remove it before class.

“He said, ‘Anthony take the sign down right now’ and I looked up, seeing class hasn’t started yet,” the teen told NBC New York. “I was on my phone. I looked up at him and kind of just looked back down like I didn’t hear him.”

But the teacher repeated the request and said Ribeiro would have to leave if he refused.

“I waved goodbye, and I was gone,” the teen said.

DML: Hats off to this teen!
